Picture Story e-Books by Grade 4

The Grade 4 student have been working creatively to bring narratives to life in a Picture Story ‘eBook’ (or an ‘Electronic Book’). After generating a story-line and constructing a beginning, middle and end to achieve a sequence in their narratives, students were ready to digitally publish their stories. They used the iPad app Book Creator to produce their eBook. This involved designing a front cover, adding text, deciding on the typography, digitally drawing illustrations, selecting the layout of pages, format the background/foreground, then adding sound and audio.

Once they were completed, they shared their stories with the Foundation students. This gave them the opportunity to have an authentic audience for their work, as well as develop confidence while they mentored their peers.
